Week Four

Image
Another week . . . another round up.  Day 19 My iPhone has a timer, I've got lots of bookshelves . . . enter the handsfree selfie.   'Tis my linen Kelly from last May, a RTW tee that is about a year old now, and a Micheal Kors belt.  My name necklace, in Egyptian, and a Otlu pendant from my friend Linda.  Yes, my home office is that tiny.   Day 20 So, yea . . . selfies are a bitch.  Seriously, how do those tweens do it? And, yes, my dears .  . .Cousin It came to town via my 90s afro hair.   A whisken tank from last summer, and in the course of scouring my closet on this surprisingly warm day . . . I need summer shirts, yo.  So much so that two sleeveless Archers are sitting on the table to cut, cut and sew, sew.  Tomorrow I see a plan.   On other notes, is that light between my thighs? Hot damn.  That ain't happened in years.  What? Women across the universe know this feeling. ...

Week Three Roundup, an anniversary, and Turkey . . .

Image
So as I mentioned, I would be late with the roundup, as I was in Turkey conferencing, making plans for the next publication, and so forth.  So, without further ado here's the quick roundup, a few notes along the way, and your bonus this week. Flying to Turkey, day 11 My well worn Coco, some Express jeans (so faded it ain't even funny), my Amy Butler August Fields bag and my Sol Hooie on the side.  As I mentioned on Instagram, I've worn this one about once a week since I made it.  It's not gonna live long.  26 hours later . . .  God bless humidity here.   Day 12. Amy Butler Lounge pants and the mountains of eastern Turkey.  As I got there the next night. Day 13 One Minoru, one Sloppy Josephine . . . one Otlutaku.  That's the Jet Jewelry market . . . what Erzurum is known for . . . petrified wood that looks shiny and black.  I may have bought some.  May . . .  Day 14 Fr...

Week Two Me Made May 2014 and A Bonus of a Golden Local

Image
The Me Made roundup, of a full week . . . and because I love you so much rambles along the way. Day three: May 3rd. While grocery shopping at Union Square . . . my Mavi Jeans I bought in Bodrum last fall, my Longchamp slides I bought in Amsterdam last month (ring around the world, perhaps), one Briar (unblogged) I knocked out the night before in a lightweight wool knit from Mood, my Sol Hoodie in charcoal, my elephant necklace from my Italian gal Elisabetta, and the earrings I picked up in Ecuador.  Knickers, you can't see.  That's a dying RTW cami underneath.   May the Fourth be With You. Black plaid thurlows, a self-drafted tank, and my charcoal hoodie again. That shirt is actually purple, but I was using the timer on my phone camera, while mugging in my home office.  Makes a kinda of snazzy shot, eh? Remember how I said I would draft a tank this month? Done!  On this one, tank are pretty easy took less than an hour, but my fabric is a ...

A Year In Review

Image
Well, I guess it has been nearly a year since I decided to see about not buying clothes and how much I could make.  I can say, with all honesty, that I have bought three cardigans, two pair of jeans, two plain tee shirts, some socks, knickers, and some running bras, pants, and two therma hoodies.  Beyond that. . . Mr Fairytale picked me up a vintage, handmade Wonder Woman tee at Artist and Flee months ago and a Feminist Mystique tee from The Strand last month.  Beyond that . . . well, my machine has been busy. Most of these you have seen, as I've blogged them here or on Instagram, but none-the-less it is still fun (and a little embarrassing) to go through the past year.  Little notes, through the snap shots, kind of pave the way for ya. Sleep Pants, Amy Butler with Alexander Henry Fabric A bag, I now keep ribbon in. The lining is remnants of some cotton I used for decorations at my wedding. A vintage, metal zipper keeps her closed.  Bro...
