Week Three Roundup, an anniversary, and Turkey . . .

Image
So as I mentioned, I would be late with the roundup, as I was in Turkey conferencing, making plans for the next publication, and so forth.  So, without further ado here's the quick roundup, a few notes along the way, and your bonus this week. Flying to Turkey, day 11 My well worn Coco, some Express jeans (so faded it ain't even funny), my Amy Butler August Fields bag and my Sol Hooie on the side.  As I mentioned on Instagram, I've worn this one about once a week since I made it.  It's not gonna live long.  26 hours later . . .  God bless humidity here.   Day 12. Amy Butler Lounge pants and the mountains of eastern Turkey.  As I got there the next night. Day 13 One Minoru, one Sloppy Josephine . . . one Otlutaku.  That's the Jet Jewelry market . . . what Erzurum is known for . . . petrified wood that looks shiny and black.  I may have bought some.  May . . .  Day 14 Fr...

Week Two Me Made May 2014 and A Bonus of a Golden Local

The Me Made roundup, of a full week . . . and because I love you so much rambles along the way. Day three: May 3rd. While grocery shopping at Union Square . . . my Mavi Jeans I bought in Bodrum last fall, my Longchamp slides I bought in Amsterdam last month (ring around the world, perhaps), one Briar (unblogged) I knocked out the night before in a lightweight wool knit from Mood, my Sol Hoodie in charcoal, my elephant necklace from my Italian gal Elisabetta, and the earrings I picked up in Ecuador.  Knickers, you can't see.  That's a dying RTW cami underneath.   May the Fourth be With You. Black plaid thurlows, a self-drafted tank, and my charcoal hoodie again. That shirt is actually purple, but I was using the timer on my phone camera, while mugging in my home office.  Makes a kinda of snazzy shot, eh? Remember how I said I would draft a tank this month? Done!  On this one, tank are pretty easy took less than an hour, but my fabric is a ...

So I'm a few days late with Me Made May . . . May has FIVE weeks . . . ugh.   To make it up, here's a pic of the cupcake pin cushion I drafted a few years back (it fits inside a bobbin carousal, by the way) and the mini tomato I did up today . . . scraps of course.  Today's has steel wool to keep the pins happy.  Cuteness makes everyone smile.   Without further ado: Saturday: Well . . . you saw part of it here , but there was more. There's an odd looking photo of me--not at the market, but odd in everything else--wearing a Colette Ginger, version three on the bias in Amy Butler Lark.  A thrifted Seattle Blues jacket, a Stella and Dot scarf, and a crappy shirt that I sent to the Goodwill bin.  Birks too boot.  Oh, my grey and purple Cosmo is a staple of Farmer's Market shopping as it holds an unbelievable amount of goods, books, and everything else. That jacket . . . when I was small and still in Seattle all the kids had that b...
