Week Two Me Made May 2014 and A Bonus of a Golden Local

The Me Made roundup, of a full week . . . and because I love you so much rambles along the way. Day three: May 3rd. While grocery shopping at Union Square . . . my Mavi Jeans I bought in Bodrum last fall, my Longchamp slides I bought in Amsterdam last month (ring around the world, perhaps), one Briar (unblogged) I knocked out the night before in a lightweight wool knit from Mood, my Sol Hoodie in charcoal, my elephant necklace from my Italian gal Elisabetta, and the earrings I picked up in Ecuador.  Knickers, you can't see.  That's a dying RTW cami underneath.   May the Fourth be With You. Black plaid thurlows, a self-drafted tank, and my charcoal hoodie again. That shirt is actually purple, but I was using the timer on my phone camera, while mugging in my home office.  Makes a kinda of snazzy shot, eh? Remember how I said I would draft a tank this month? Done!  On this one, tank are pretty easy took less than an hour, but my fabric is a ...

So, here I sit with several posts on que and so far behind that the light from caught up won't catch me this year.  As in, one can not keep the pace that I do for long.  I've done it for too many months, and years, now and . . . I am crashing.  Yes, I admit it.  Yes, I have to make changes.  I am exhausted, drained, mortified, and--well--beyond the point of many things.  On that note, part of the plans I am making is this thing is coming to the front of my que from here on out.  Why? I have a sizable amount of readers, I enjoy this, I'm building a brand, and  . . . I have plans for things I am working on.  Patterns I'm drafting, ones that I have drafted, and sketches of things to come.  In short, this space here is more a delicious space of stress relief, joy, and often unmitigated and unfiltered emotions. So, for other notes . . . I temporarily made my Instagram private.  If you want to follow it there's a 95 percent chance I'll ...

Oh sweet baby Jesus I've been busy . . . especially since I haven't posted in two weeks.  So without further ado, here's a few things across the way these days. At the beginning of January I ventured to the depths of AHA hell, or some such, as post (once I was back home) I got crafty in the house.  These fabulously tacky pillows are nothing but pure awesome.  Some Anna Maria Horner velour, some fringe from the shop by the Ditmars Ave stop, two random zippers, and making up shit as I went along gave me this.  One side is leopard, one the dots. Up.  Don't lie, you know you want some.  They are that awesome. There was a few runs through the park.  Sweet baby it's been cold. Of course, there were also several days of frozen water ways.   Yea, it says something about frozen rivers . . . in the heat of the city too.   Though, on instagram folks got the see the Extreme Plaid Matching: Weekend Edition.  ...

Me Made May, roudup

So I'm like a whole freaking week late on posting the final Me Made May roundup.  Well . . . I was in Kentucky on work, and I won't apologize for having a beer after work and usually being too tired to stay up past 10:30.  Yes, lame.  Yes, true.  Yes, there were an hour of student and work emails too . . . nearly every night. But, for your viewing pleasure: Wednesday, a day of browns. An Amy Butler Barcelona, my new boat shows, a now toooo large cardi, and my insomnia bag (AKA Multi Tasker Tote from Anna Maria Horner). Of course,  I was still in NYC here . . . It was chilly, hence the cardi.  Guess where the cardi is now? In the growing Goodwill bin. Thursday . . . the day to finish packing what wasn't done the day before, remember the tablet and Advil (the sunscreen for kids who go to summer camp for nerds), and try to sleep. {There's no photo as my phone shit the bed a day or so later, and . . . this one isn't on my Google+ backup (meanin...
